How the directory works
Useful information, with a clear source and scope
The directory brings together business details, service information, locations and customer experience so people can compare locksmiths without opening ten different tabs.
What appears on a business page
- Identity and contactBusiness name, phone, current website and a public address only where customers can visit.
- ServicesCurrent first-party service information is rewritten into the jobs a customer needs to solve.
- Service areaA physical base and current named coverage are kept separate. Mobile businesses are not presented as shops.
- Customer experienceReview text is summarised into practical patterns; Google ratings remain clearly labelled as Google ratings.
- Prices and credentialsOnly sufficiently clear, current claims are shown, with the scope preserved.
How pages are selected
A profile needs a usable identity and enough current information to help a customer decide. City pages need multiple distinct choices and must add more than a list of coordinates.
- One business, one profileOverlapping records are consolidated so the same customer choice is not repeated.
- Private addresses stay privateService-area businesses can appear without publishing a home or dispatch address.
- Claims keep their limitsA named service area or price is not stretched beyond what the source supports.
- Corrections remain openBusinesses and customers can send evidence when information has changed.
How information stays current
Every profile shows when its source set was compiled. A correction can be raised at any time and is prioritised over the routine cycle.
- MonthlyGoogle rating counts and newly submitted correction or dispute cases are checked every 30 days.
- Every 60 daysTime-sensitive prices, credentials and emergency-availability wording are rechecked or removed when they can no longer be supported.
- Every 90 daysBusiness identity, phone, website, services, coverage and customer-facing premises are refreshed.
- Stale informationA time-sensitive claim is withheld after 120 days without a successful recheck. A profile is withheld if its identity or direct contact route can no longer be confirmed.
What this directory does not do
It does not dispatch locksmiths, agree the price, handle payment or guarantee a job. The customer contracts directly with the business they call.
